  213. The new configuration option :setting:`CELERY_AMQP_TASK_RESULT_EXPIRES`
  214. sets the expiry time in seconds (can be int or float):

  218. * celeryev: Event Snapshots
  219. If enabled, :program:`celeryd` sends messages about what the worker is doing.
  220. These messages are called "events".
  221. The events are used by real-time monitors to show what the
  222. cluster is doing, but they are not very useful for monitoring
  223. over a longer period of time. Snapshots
  224. lets you take "pictures" of the clusters state at regular intervals.
  225. This can then be stored in a database to generate statistics
  226. with, or even monitoring over longer time periods.
  227. django-celery now comes with a Celery monitor for the Django
  228. Admin interface. To use this you need to run the django-celery
  229. snapshot camera, which stores snapshots to the database at configurable
  230. intervals. See :ref:`monitoring-nodjango` for information about using
  231. this monitor if you're not using Django.
  232. To use the Django admin monitor you need to do the following:
  233. 1. Create the new database tables.
  234. $ python manage.py syncdb
  235. 2. Start the django-celery snapshot camera::
  236. $ python manage.py celerycam
  237. 3. Open up the django admin to monitor your cluster.
  238. The admin interface shows tasks, worker nodes, and even
  239. lets you perform some actions, like revoking and rate limiting tasks,
  240. and shutting down worker nodes.
  241. There's also a Debian init.d script for :mod:`~celery.bin.celeryev` available,
  242. see :doc:`cookbook/daemonizing` for more information.
  243. New command line arguments to celeryev:
  244. * :option:`-c|--camera`: Snapshot camera class to use.
  245. * :option:`--logfile|-f`: Log file
  246. * :option:`--loglevel|-l`: Log level
  247. * :option:`--maxrate|-r`: Shutter rate limit.
  248. * :option:`--freq|-F`: Shutter frequency
  249. The :option:`--camera` argument is the name of a class used to take
  250. snapshots with. It must support the interface defined by
  251. :class:`celery.events.snapshot.Polaroid`.
  252. Shutter frequency controls how often the camera thread wakes up,
  253. while the rate limit controls how often it will actually take
  254. a snapshot.
  255. The rate limit can be an integer (snapshots/s), or a rate limit string
  256. which has the same syntax as the task rate limit strings (``"200/m"``,
  257. ``"10/s"``, ``"1/h",`` etc).
  258. For the Django camera case, this rate limit can be used to control
  259. how often the snapshots are written to the database, and the frequency
  260. used to control how often the thread wakes up to check if there's
  261. anything new.
  262. The rate limit is off by default, which means it will take a snapshot
  263. for every :option:`--frequency` seconds.

  666. If there are no eta tasks it will sleep for a minimum amount of time, one

  668. A bug sneaked in here, making it sleep for one second for every task

  1234. Like a cron job, you can specify units of time of when
  1235. you would like the task to execute. While not a full implementation
  1236. of cron's features, it should provide a fair degree of common scheduling
  1237. needs.
  1238. You can specify a minute (0-59), an hour (0-23), and/or a day of the
  1239. week (0-6 where 0 is Sunday, or by names: sun, mon, tue, wed, thu, fri,
  1240. sat).

  1439. all the way into the pool needs to be executed before the worker can

  1442. We multiply the prefetch count by default to increase the performance at
