  1. Celery Project Contributor Agreement
  2. ====================================
  3. The submitter agrees by adding his or her name within the section below named
  4. "Contributors" and submitting the resulting modified document to the
  5. canonical shared repository location for this software project (whether
  6. directly, as a user with "direct commit access", or via a "pull request"), he
  7. or she is signing a contract electronically. The submitter becomes a
  8. Contributor after a) he or she signs this document by adding their name
  9. beneath the "Contributors" section below, and b) the resulting document is
  10. accepted into the canonical version control repository.
  11. Treatment of Account
  12. ---------------------
  13. Contributor will not allow anyone other than the Contributor to use his or
  14. her username or source repository login to submit code to a Celery Project
  15. source repository. Should Contributor become aware of any such use,
  16. Contributor will immediately by notifying Ask Solem.
  17. Notification must be performed by sending an email to
  18. ask@celeryproject.org. Until such notice is received, Contributor will be
  19. presumed to have taken all actions made through Contributor's account. If the
  20. Contributor has direct commit access, Ask Solem will have
  21. complete control and discretion over capabilities assigned to Contributor's
  22. account, and may disable Contributor's account for any reason at any time.
  23. Legal Effect of Contribution
  24. ----------------------------
  25. Upon submitting a change or new work to a Celery Project source Repository (a
  26. "Contribution"), you agree to assign, and hereby do assign, a one-half
  27. interest of all right, title and interest in and to copyright and other
  28. intellectual property rights with respect to your new and original portions
  29. of the Contribution to Ask Solem. You and Ask Solem
  30. each agree that the other shall be free to exercise any and all exclusive
  31. rights in and to the Contribution, without accounting to one another,
  32. including without limitation, the right to license the Contribution to others
  33. under the BSD License. This agreement shall run with title to the
  34. Contribution. Ask Solem does not convey to you any right, title
  35. or interest in or to the Program or such portions of the Contribution that
  36. were taken from the Program. Your transmission of a submission to the Celery
  37. Project source Repository and marks of identification concerning the
  38. Contribution itself constitute your intent to contribute and your assignment
  39. of the work in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement.
  40. License Terms
  41. -------------
  42. Code committed to the Celery Project source repository (Committed Code) must
  43. be governed by the BSD License
  44. (http://www.opensource.org/licenses/BSD-3-Clause)
  45. or another license acceptable to Ask Solem. Until
  46. Ask Solem declares in writing an acceptable license other than
  47. BSD, only the BSD shall be used. A list of exceptions is detailed within
  48. the "Licensing Exceptions" section of this document, if one exists.
  49. Representations, Warranty, and Indemnification
  50. ----------------------------------------------
  51. Contributor represents and warrants that the Committed Code does not violate
  52. the rights of any person or entity, and that the Contributor has legal
  53. authority to enter into this Agreement and legal authority over Contributed
  54. Code. Further, Contributor indemnifies Ask Solem against violations.
  55. Cryptography
  56. ------------
  57. Contributor understands that cryptographic code may be subject to government
  58. regulations with which Ask Solem and/or entities using Committed
  59. Code must comply. Any code which contains any of the items listed below must
  60. not be checked-in until Ask Solem has been notified and has
  61. approved such contribution in writing.
  62. - Cryptographic capabilities or features
  63. - Calls to cryptographic features
  64. - User interface elements which provide context relating to cryptography
  65. - Code which may, under casual inspection, appear to be cryptographic.
  66. Notices
  67. -------
  68. Contributor confirms that any notices required will be included in any
  69. Committed Code.
  70. Licensing Exceptions
  71. ====================
  72. Code committed within the ``docs/`` subdirectory of the Celery source
  73. control repository and "docstrings" which appear in the documentation
  74. generated by running "make" within this directory is licensed under the
  75. Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 United States
  76. License (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/us/).
